hamilton 212 impeller cost ?

does anyone out there have a ball park figure on the price of a Hamilton 212 turbo impeller.looking to change mine to 3.4 t.i don't have a clue about the cost of the part.i will be doing the labor. thanks for any help.

Probably around $1700 would be a good start.

What engine do you have?

Hi there WD
i have a 22' TJ w/ kem 383 .it's a 2008 model.it came with a 2.4 impeller and after talking to roy at intermountain machine he highly recommended changing to a 3.4.i have had the boat since aug. 2007 so i don't know if thunderjet would help me out or not.roy is checking on some possibilitys so i am hoping.didn't know they were that spendy but i guess i should not be surprised. been running off shore and willy and columbia mostly.

About 4 years ago I bought a new 4.0 from hamilton and it was a little over $1700 cost. IMO a 3.4 would be better. What is your WOT rpm?

Roy does good work. I had him tighen up my pump when it was new 3 years ago. The only complaint I have with a tuned up impellor is sticks have a better chance getting stuck between the blade and wear ring instead of getting spit out.

WOT IS 4500 rpm and 45 mph (gps)
cruise 3000 rpm and 30 mph
cruise 3500 rpm and 35 mph
i just feel that 4500 is a little out of the max torque range for 383.Roy said he thought he could work something out as far as getting a 3.4 impeller ,so i will wait and see . thanks for the interest and info. mike s.

Speedy TJ, I PM'd you on what looks to be a decent used one. I would expect you would drop your RPM's by around 400 or so.
