Popeye, stopped by the marina today in the hope of wishing you a safe trip in person... you'd already left harbor.

I wish you and your crew a safe and enjoyable journey.

What's up with the customer service there. Sorry about the rough start, but you know now that it will only get better.
Have a safe and enjoyable voyage. Keep us posted!
P.S. What is your return date through CoosBay? My job will have me down there a bunch.

Popeye,

Crescent City is more user friendly. Across the highway there is a nice Italian Resturant too. If I remember right the entrance is fairly easy if you line up the bouys. The transient docks are ok.

When you get to Ft. Bragg, the salmon season is open. But the locals are saying it is a bit slow.

Put in at Bodega Bay if you want. It sometimes can be a long stretch to try to make SF from Ft. Bragg. Spud Point Marina in Bodega Bay is pretty good. But Bodega is tough to navigate on a low tide. Lots of mudflats to go aground.

Popeye and Julie,
What a relief to hear you are doing OK!
It was a beautiful day at the coast, but tons of fog rolling around. We kept hoping you were beyond it and enjoying the blue skies.
What was it like really??
What a disappointment Coos Bay must have been.

The truck is safely home. Too many buttons and lights.
Heaven only knows what will happen when you start it up.....

Hope the rest of the voyage is memorable and safe.
Take care our seafaring friends!!!
