Default 5hp mariner vibrates

Other than the vibration everything is fine. The vibe seems to be there in neutrol. worse at mid range rpm. Tollerable at low range in gear and wide open. Everything seems tight.
Thanks for your thought's

is it a single cylinder engine? I had a 4 hp merc and it shook pretty good as well. Wish I hadn't sold that little motor, absolutely perfect DB kicker.

As Stevo said, if its a single that's what they do, not much can be done to stop the vibration.

The air cooled 2 stroke singles were famous for that as well as the water cooled 4 stroke models ...

There was something on an earlier thread about putting some type of rubber pad between the mounting bracket and the transom. You may want to explore that remedy.
