any herring now?

Has anyone tried jigging for herring in Yaquina bay lately?

I was in Newport today, and at high tide there wasn't a single boat out jigging for herring. I didn't think to ask any of the locals about how they had been doing.

Haven't heard anything good or bad. I am going to try and get out on Sat. for herring and crab. I'll post then or if I hear anything.

Salty we will be there around high tide on Saturday also. Give us a call on the radio if you are having any luck and we will do the same.

FD, I didn't make it out. I was putting some new toys on the boat. Sounds like I didn't miss anything. Pretty poor year 3s wise for everyone. I don't even think there was one commercial harvest.
