Default ROCKIT WEAR

Ventured over to G.I.Joes by Delta Park last Saturday to look at and try out a Rockit Wear dry suit. Was good to meet the infamous Black Rocket crew in person and receive Kim's assistance in fitting. Quickly found out after getting assistance with donning one that I am not a good fit with the off the rack size. Seems my feet are too small and my neck too large. After Kim picked the proper sizes for my old out of shape body, I think he got me set up just right. Ordered basically OSU colors and should get the new suit in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the help Kim and hope to see you on the water, probably going much faster than the rest of us. Am excited about this suit as I think I will use it much more than just offshore. Thanks rocket crew!

I also have to thank Kim for the fitting. I've got a red/black version on the way.

I can't wait 2 weeks for it to arrive though!!!!!!!

I just picked mine up this afternoon! Woooohoooo!

Thanks Kim, it looks and feels great!

One question though, are the suspenders suppose to come with it? If so then they weren't in there. Let me know.

Picked mine up, and it looks great. Gonna have to trim on that XL neck seal ...and my wife tells me I dont have a neck

I didnt get the suspenders either. Will give you a call Kim.

Read the operating instructions after getting the verbal instruction from the guy at Joes. I think his name was Jameson Said he dove but didnt fish, and warned me about not folding the zipper backwards, waxing the zipper, folding the suit etc.... Glad Joes has a guy behind the counter who knows dry suits

Picked up the new ROCKIT WEAR suit this afternoon and am very impressed. Have been called the big pumpkin before, but now really look like it! I am really ready for Halloween! If the Coast Guard can't find me now it's only because they haven't looked my direction yet. There were no suspenders in my package either, so will have to get ahold of Kim.

Hi, I'm new to this site. I just bought my Rocket Wear also. I got red and black with the relief zipper. I'm still trying to figure out how to use the bee's wax on the zipper.

Any advise?

The guy at GI Joes showed me how to wax the zipper, He just took and ran the wax back and forth across the zipper essentially filling it with wax. Told me he cleans out the old wax once a year with a toothpick from each tooth of the zipper and reapplies wax. He also waxes his zipper like every 4 or 6 trips he told me.

I am more concerned about trimming the neck to fit. The XL neck is still a choker and I need to make the opening larger. Something isnt natural about buying a new suit and then cutting on it Might go buy some nice sharp new scissors this weekend and get brave with the cutting thing. CK - "USIA, this is Capt. Kujo. How can I help you?"

BOE - "This is Roy and I just bought some Rockit Wear from you. The neck doesn't fit."

CK - "You have to cut the neck seal so it fits."

BOE - "Yeah, I know that! I've cut it down 3 times and it's still too loose so it won't seal."

CK - "<sigh> "

Hey Kim .Ihave a question I stopped by Joes today. Can you get the Extreme Hunting suit in a different color? They could not answer that at joes.I just think for the money that would be the way to go.It seem like heavier material it had the front entry and a hood also it came with one pocket. Also would you need a relief zipper with that style?
