Default Any help? (Slop in engine remote)

I didn't get any hits over in the Community forum so I hoping the bigger brothers in "The Salty Dogs" can help.

The control unit for my 130 Honda has quite a bit of play in it. The play is in the throttle/shifter stick and is left to right. How do you adjust the play out of them or is something more wrong? Fore and aft feels fine and it shifts out of neutral, forward and reverse just fine as well. The side to side motion, however, makes it feel like it is going to fall off.

I had that happen to my Honda 90 controls. I took the side plate off and tightened the nuts and it took care of the problem. Be careful not to overtighten and make the controls bind up.

Remember if you put on nylock replacements to get METRIC!

Yep, sounds like the nut that holds the arm on has backed off. If so, I'd suggest putting a nylock nut on it so it won't happen again. Who knows where you'd be when you lost your nut....err,....nm
