5:30 Just called the hunt phone line and it says the zone is ONLY open it Tilamok county at this time. The rest of the zone is closed. Can this be correct?
I hunted geese yesterday on the opener there were a few posts on ifish saying that the phone call in number was down and that the zone was expected to be open throughtout the weekend.
I have just been advised that the recording system that NW Oregon Permit Goose Hunters call in for open/closure status is malfunctioning and does not contain correct information. All permit areas, excluding Sauvie Island WA, will reopen tomorrow and should be expected to stay open over the weekend. It is not known when the phone system will be back in working order but be advised that all areas will reopen this weekend. Please notify any friends or family of this issue and please see that this get posted on the internet forums.
