Default One way driver to/from Anchorage or Homer

My dad is planning to head to Homer some time this summer and would like to drive it one way. He is looking for someone that needs a vehichle driven one way or the other. He would also be open to do this towing your boat. At this point he is pretty open on the dates. Idealy he would like to go up in late June or early July and then fly home. Or he will fly up in August and drive back sometime around labor day weekend.

If you think this might fit for you or someone you know, please get in touch with me. He would also be willing to pay for some of the fuel. He has a brother in Homer and is just looking for a way to do the trip on a retirement income budget. He has been up there many times over the years but never driven it. Now that he is retired he would like to see the country along the way instead of from the air. His brother also has a safe place to park a truck or boat until you get there to pick it up.

At this point he is really open to options but would like to make a plan with as much notice as possible. He would also be willing to share the driving and fuel if you are planning to drive it. Once you get in touch with me I will just put the 2 of you together and you can make arrangements together.

Still looking for a one way ride or driver. Now looking for a ride or to drive your rig up in late August. Or to ride along or drive your rig back in late August or early September. Let me know if this might help someone out. Willing to share fuel expenses.

This is really a great idea. Years ago we did this with other couples. My wife and I would drive one way, and the other couple would drive the other. It was 2,740 miles each way, and I had no desire to drive both ways, especially with the frost heaves for the last 400 miles.

Smart idea.

Just an idea, why not rent an economical vehicle for one way?
