I just bought one last night at Joes.Model 116fxp3 in the stainless combo package . Thought it was good deal at $479.What do you think about the Simmons Prosport scope on these rifles.Going to shoot it later.

Sounds cool. I have a ruger in .300 winny. It’s a very versatile caliber. I always hear good things about Savage rifles too. Not sure about your scope though, but the price is right.

Have fun…

The scope is an entry level product...but adequate. The rifle is TOP NOTCH. I have that same rifle and it is a MOA shooter with every handload I've tried. That Accutrigger is amazing. It makes me hate the triggers on all my (more expensive) other rifles. I think the .300WM is a great all-around or one gun cartridge. You can load for and hunt any North American game animal. You'll like the way it shoots

Just got back from shooting this rifle,LOVE IT! With a litle tuning this rifle shoots 1.25" groups right out of the box. That was with Federal shock 150grn.I would recamend this rifle to anyone.Scope? Its OK,but will upgrade later.

My .300 has shot better with heavier bullets, although I haven't done too much shooting with 150's. My wife has a savage and it is definitely a shooter, you won't be disappointed.

I agree. Look at least at the 180's minimum. Most guys I've heard mention either the 180 or 200 grain bullet were best for their gun.
