I put a post up for help on picking a motor size and other info and I get questions, whats up with that? ABM transport in florida makes monthly trips approximately 3400 miles I was quoted $1.00 per mile however if you can piggy back it will actually on cost me $2800.00 Since Im just giving away information today. BOATARAMA is a long standing boat seller who just finished a boat show in florida where they sold 60+ boats. Tell them Mr. Rome sent you.

NorRivDave - I'm sold an SAV to the Miami-Dade Police Joint Terroism Task Force and will be looking for a shipping in about a month. Who did you get your shipping price from?

Kujo-
hotrodtransport.com was who I've found to be the cheapest. From what I read, it's a pretty shaddy business. Be careful who you choose!

Choo-
Sorry man, we have a way of getting "off" the subject. If it was me, I'd go with a Honda or Yamaha (personal preference), hydraulic lift and a TR-1 to steer the thing. But then again, I've been known to throw money away...

Good luck with your new toy!

Choo,

If you have to get the boat from Florida you may as well get the motors too. They have lots of good deals on motors over there. There are tons of salvage places that end up with new or next to new motors that sell cheap at auctions.

With new outboards I'm not sure one is all that much better than the other. Just go with a 4 stroke.

<font size="2" face="verdana,arial,helv">It's called sharing. Give a little....get a little. Heck of a concept huh?

It's hard to know what the perfect kicker set up would be for a boat I've never seen. Is it OB or I/O? Offshore bracket? Swim step? Transom length? Are you working with a budget?

I agree with Rod. Any 15hp four stroke should be plenty of power and either of the 4 major brands is fine. Tr-1 is great if you can afford it.

Sounds like your putting together a nice package. Congrats on scoring a good deal.

The best deal I've found on boat hauling is $1-$1.25 per mile, and that was for hualing it on the trailer and not loading on a flat bed. That makes a good deal not so good, unless it's a really, really good deal.
