Default Best dang Boat cover ever???

I figure since I live 1/2 mile from the ocean this is the best place for it.. (salty dogs) Today my boat cover died.. ripped from our nice 50 mph winds we have..

So.. Who makes a GOOD boat cover that will hold up and if it doesn't has a decent warrenty to replace it?

If your talking about a cover just for sitting in the drive way I think I'd get a heavy cotton oiled tarp. You know- the old ugly green ones that weigh a ton and have lots of nice heavy duty brass grommets.

Might have to use a couple smaller ones to cover it. Not sure large ones are readily available since the invention of blue plastic. I have a 14x20 (I think) and it weighs a ton (and thats good in the wind). I got it at GI Joes, seems like it was around 40-50 bucks.

Lepper,
I picked up a fitted poly-cotton cover from boatcoversdirect. So far it's held up to 2 inches of freezing rain, about 500lbs of snow, and rain down pours that flooded my street over two feet. It breathes very well, but it is kind of on the heavy side.

I've only had mine for 7 months, but the warranty is for 3 years. They have another material that is warrantied for 5 years. No signs of weathering yet and the seams held up very well to all of the weight the sky keeps tossing on it (no leaks). I really like the built in bungie running around the edge and the tie down loops every three feet. Sure beats the old blue tarp  .
