Default FYI... salty boat for sale in Junction City..

On my way to hit a bucket of balls at Fiddles today I say what appeared to be a very sea-worthy boat parked right in the main strip in JC today. It was a 1994 22' Reinell Coho walkaround cuddy with a nice aluminum hard-top over the cockpit. 5.0 I/O with a newer 15 honda. There was some kind of steering system but I dont' know if it was a nautimatic or? Lots of electronics including lowrance and sitex. Dual axel galvinized trailer. It was a clean looking boat with flush deck, high sides and a sharp bow entry (looks like it could really push through the rough stuff.) If anyone is interested the name on the sign is Don and the number is 541-998-5792. The price was something like 21 or 22K which seemed a little on the steep side to me.

Off topic, I saw one of the biggest flock of swans I've ever seen just south of Junction City. At first I thought it was some of the seagulls that had just recently invaded the valley but on some of the closer birds I saw their tell-tale necks. Must have been close to a thousand of them. That's a good sign... Joe

If I knock my own salmon off with the net in the middle of the ocean and nobody saw it, did it actually happen?

I saw that boat the other day as well...it's nearly identical to mine -- same year, same trailer, same hull, same basic color scheme...also very similar to Gregotis'.

I just had mine out yesterday giving it a good wax job.

Mine has been very good to me (knock on wood) -- lots of tuna, halibut, salmon, etc...

a very nice entry level "Salty Dog" boat if someone is interested.

I took a very close look at this boat in about August of last year. It has obviously not sold yet. The guy selling it looked like he took pretty good care of the boat, though he was pretty firm on his $20K asking price at that time. I was particularly fond of the aluminum hard top, in that it still allowed for air circulation if you left the Eisenglass off. It had a remote steering setup for the outboard, and fuel plumbed to the main tank. At the time, he was not seeling the kicker, so I'm not sure what's changed. When I looked at the boat, it was kept in a large barn, so it has presumable been kept under cover. I didn't offer on the boat; given the NADA guide disparity, and his unwillingness to negotiate. -Doug
