Default Interesting Tag Results

I got checked on the dock (Warrenton) after a trip outside last July (20th) and had 2 hatchery ho's with implant tags. I filled out the cards and just got the results back this week.

Fish #1:
3 yrs old
Forks Creek Hatchery, released in Forks Creek (WA Coast)
# released 12,575
released 5/9/2000

Fish #2:
3 yrs old
Inch Creek Hatchery, released in Inch Creek River, BC
# released 414,485 (wow! )
released 5/15/2000

And I thought these were mostly CR basin fish?

Those are great. I wonder if there is a site somewhere that you could look at all the statistics for these tagged fish. That would be kind of cool to see where everyone's fish were being caught.

Hey Dean- robbing the cradle huh? That fish was only a 2 year old?

So- where's all the CR fish? Maybe they aren't implanting them?

The information on coded wire tag releases and recoveries is available at the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSFMC) web page A direct link to the starting page is CWTs

The data base at PSFMC is usually a bit behind as they have to wait for each of the states to finalize the CWT release and recovery data. So the 2003 recovery data will probably not be available on the PSFMC website for at least a little while longer. Also note that this is a large database with lots of codes and query limiters, and may be frustrating to the casual user.

Hey Rojo- Glad you remembered that, I couldn't remember which trip it was. Yep- you darn near cleaned out the entire WA and BC Coho run that day huh? Now I know why that pink Diver was so dang hot that day... it's those Northern "bucks" favorite color.

Had the Kitty Cat looked at. Leak down check was OK, air was getting into the fuel (leak by an injector seal). Replaced/resealed all the injectors and had it all re-timed. Air leak is gone but the emgine still sounds like it's missing and runs rougher than the other one. Cat couldn't figure out anything else to do other than tear into her.

I give up I'm running her till she breaks. It's been that way since I bought her so I really don't think it's anything that will end up being catastophic. Kind of frustrating though.
