Default What is coming soon?

A friend of mine from Missouri emailed me today with some interesting stuff. He said the local Wmart is averaging 93 gun sales per day. Ammo is not available and is back ordered. The local range where he works and instructs has a two hour delay for shooting. Kind of like tee times. You sign up for a time and be there to shoot. Reloading components are big time items. Stores can't keep primers and powder in stock. He said recent appointments in DC are scary at least for the next four years. His last words were "keep your head down for the next four years". I have heard of legislation to register all factory ammo and components. The government will be able to track what you are buying and what you are reloading. Time for all shooters to start stepping up and keeping track of what our elected officials are doing and how they are voting on these issues. Then we need to make our voices heard in some manner that is effective.

I have been hearing the same things. I don't think we have the luxury anymore of sitting back and letting things go. We can't not be involved anymore. I recently joined the Oregon Hunters Association and also belong to Ducks Unlimited and the NRA. I for one am planning on being a voice for our 2ND ammendment rights. If we lose them it won't be because I didn't do anything.

I think the "Change" that most of America seems to be so fond of is coming very soon.

Pocket book shrinkage, lost jobs here on ifish, gas price fixes, massive deficit, lost homes, and a litany of other things called for that change. When we have to fund raise for books and a guy dies because 14 hospitals rejected him for lack of health care, it was time for change.

Now, for my hobbies, I hope that our united front keeps those changes to a minimum.

Anyone been to Sportsmans Warehouse recently and look at the gun section? Half the spots on the the handgun wall are empty. A year ago each spot was 4 deep for each model. Is there any place in town that ever has ar15's in stock anymore? Whether "it" is coming or not, people are buying like "it" is a sure thing. Funny how so many people are cutting back on everything else, except for firearms.

Empty racks! UGH!

My fiance and I are looking for a few models of pistols. Very frustrating.
