Default Smelt?

Is the smelt run over. I drove up to Kelso today. Guys on the river had been dipping for four hours and didn't have a single fish to show for it. :depressed:

I've never tried this before. Should I expect any more fish to run before the end of the season? How do you know when to go?

Thanks in advance,

Default Re: Smelt?

Some people are saying there are allot of smelt staged at the Grays River (Near the Estuary)...I am just wondering if the rain will bring them in or the warmer water...

That Columbia sure isn't warming up to fast...That 2 weeks of cold temps during the holidays really cooled that water down allot this winter...

I am sure they will be here sometime soon...
