Default Charter ???

Hey all...first post in this side of the board, but I figured yall would be the best bet for advice on this.

I am looking at getting some of my friends from out of state together to go over to the coast and do some fishin'. We want to hit Salmon, Tuna, Halibut, Rock fish or a combo of the above..
Out of the 4 of us, only one has ever been out on the pond so I want it to be a good experience, with hopes of making it an annual thing.

My buddies will be coming from Idaho and Montana, so we are trying to figure out the best time to do this.
We initially thought of doing the "Black Rocket" but after going through the archives, it looks like one buddy wouldn't pass the pre-take off inspection of jumping in the water...he sinks like a rock.
So I guess the overall questions are, 1) what time frame would be best 2)What species should I look for 3) Which Charters could ya recommend?

This would be a weekend thing for us, so we could probably make it as far South as Depoe Bay.

Thanks all for the advice, and for all the great stories that I have read while lurking on this side!

Mike

Bigfish,

You'll want to check out The Blitz. It's owned and operated by Mike Stowe (a.k.a. Albacore Tuna Fisherman on Ifish). He's an Ifish sponsor so you can find all his contact info at the bottom of the page.

Give him a call and he can tell you when the best time to go is for all the different types of fish. He'll not only get you into fish but he'll make sure you have a great time too.

BFF - don't forget to check out THE BLACK ROCKET . Our speciality are the trifecta and grand slams. Drop me a line for your video of the "fastest" and most "productive" charter boat on the high seas

Capt. Kujo...

We actually thought of you first for this, you sound like a true adventure, however as in my initial post my buddie is not much of a swimmer so I doubt he would make it past your pre take off dunk...Unless you have other thoughts

Regardless, I am on the list for your video, and am anxiously waiting for it..I cant wait for the day of take off..

Thanks

CK's boat would be safe for your non swimmer buddy. Everyone on the boat wears "Rocket Wear" and they are warm and dry, even if he fell out.
