Default Make your own tuna lures

I hate to even post this for fear Bait O'Eggs will see it but I will anyway.

The latest issue of "Sport Fishing" magazine, not "Saltwater Sport Fishing" magazine, has an article on how to make your own acrylic headed tuna/?? lures. Pretty cool, wish I had the time.

Roy, just stay away from the magazine and all will be o.k.

No lead and foil insert info but some basic lure making stuff.
If anyone wants a good how to build lures book including lead and foil lures get a copy or Fishing Hawaii Style by Jim Rizzuto volume I published in 1983 by Hawaii Fishing News. Po box 25413 , Honolulu Hi 96825. I have first edition but they were up to 5th edition by 1988 Try online search for any edition.
Chapters include fishing with bait , big game basics, Plastic resin trolling lures- how to make, Rigging, Hawaii's game fish where and how to catch them- details by species ono and ahi as well as A'u and other tuna and billfish as well as 15 others , Fishing Hawaii style. the good old days. Ok I had a little coffee late. Mark

There are no color photos in the hawaii fishing book. Arn't those the lures full of toxic lead that you were going to send to me to test I mean dispose of properly.Just click on my web connection for my address and I'll pay you back for the shipping costs. Just think of the better sleep you will get knowing those pesky toxins are out of your hair. Mark

Thanks for the offer Whaler Man. However, those lures have been cleared by a federal hazmat team for use as tuna lures. I've been warned not to grind them up on my breakfast cereal though.

Keta: I have the whole series of Hawaiian fishing books. They include detailed information on making acrylic lures as well as lead heads, jet heads and foil inserts. You can borrow them any time if you need.
