Sensei-san, black magic, thanks for the links. They have exactly what I�m after, a review of JRC�s 1500 Mark II and Raymarine�s SL72P. Now I may be able to determine if the extra $500 for the SL72P is justifiable.

If anyone has any comments on either unit I appreciate hearing them. I have another question some of you salts may be able to advise on. Do the radar mounts like Power Tower serve any other function other than raising the dome for better line of site?
