Default Boat registration:

Hey just discovered that my boat needs new tags. I want to take it out this weekend for a systems check run in preparation for the spring season. Is there a way I can get my new tags fast without having to drive to Salem?

I think you can renew online now at the State Marine Board site and then print a temporary permit. You might check it out.

EDIT: I just found the site. Here it is:

You can also register your boat at G.I. Joes, and they'll give you a Temp permit on the spot.

I used the online renewal this year. It was instant, easy and saved 3 stamps. Yep... still have 3 dang boats with motors registered.

It's $3 a foot now for 2 years. Ouch! Most boat dealers do this right at the store.
