Favorite Apex Colors?

I'm stocking up for the summer. I used apex lures almost exclusively last summer for coho and found that a few colors/designs outfished other. Some colors/designs picked up chinook on just about every trip while others only pickup up coho. My all around favorites are the 'monkey' design, 'watermellon', and 'blue/green chrome'. These three picked up the nooks and knocked the coho around pretty well. Any other favorites out there?

My favorite color is the chrome with the chrome prism tape on it. Or the chrome with blue. I like the Coyote spoons better in the same color....Ross

I like watermelon, and pearl white. I am a big spoon fisherman, and I love the way apexes run, but I don't trust em out of the box. Where the leader runs through the spoon, those holes are sharp! When you have a thirty pound nook on it, well, somethings gotta give. I round em out with a dremel and then retie em with 40 pound hard leader material.

Hard to beat the price and the fish catchin power of the coyote spoon. Those are far and away my favorites.

Never used the Apex's, though they look great. Am a converted coyote spoon user though! They are a hot producer for me...both chinook and silvers. Mooching works best for me but coyotes are next.

i agree - you need to 'modify' the apex out of the box. the 15lb leader has got to go!
