Default Durability of Senkos

This may have been hashed around already, but do any of you guys that fish senkos notice how easy they get torn up. I was fishing in michigan last year and was killing the LM on senkos, but I went through packs so fast, I could only catch 4-5 fish per senko, then they were trashed. Is there any senko like baits out there that are more durable? I know some do the rubber band deal, but the way we were fishing them it had to be a straight presentation. Thanks
HH

If your catching 4-5 fish per senko, that would be 40 -50 fish per pak. I think if that was true you wouldnt be worried about them getting torn up!

I've been known to whip out the lighter & make repairs to extend the life of a precious few in a certain color.

IMO, given the current trends in plastics technology, we'll soon see senko's that are stretchy'er, just as soft, yet more durable.

But I agree 4-5 LM per bait is fine w/ me.

Oh Snap!.......you just got called out! LIAR!!!!!

I'm pretty sure the point is to get more durability out of the bait.....not to determine what is an acceptable cost per bass/senko ratio. Just sayin.

Strike king has senko plastics that are made of that super stretchy material i think they call 3X. They out last senkos by other manufactuers 5:1. You can buy them at wal-mart.

I understand that, what im saying is, 4-5 fish per senko is all your gonna get out of one! And i never seem to get that many out of one, usualy the frish throws it , i sometimes reuse them for wacky rigging!

Ok.... There's a good contribution. After your senko gets torn up...use it wacky style to get a few more fish out of it. I like it.

Check these out Hammerin Honkers......I watched Al Lindner catch about 6 big largmouth with these before a bass spit the worm, and he lost the bait. He could have gotten a few more fish out of it.

These baits are weighted as well so you can fish them deeper, and without added weights.
