Default Fuel tank work??

Okay guys, I opened a big ol can o' worms today when I pulled the floor up to rewire my fuel sending unit on the boat, Heres what I found: there is a 118 gallon aluminum tank that has been all foamed in place, the foam on the top had been all eaten up by gas(I think) and I decided to remove it all, the tank had a lime green colored coating on it that was pealing off. I have the tank basically ready to come out, my question is what should I do to it while I have it out? Treat the inside? paint it again? and then I will have to refoam it, any suggestions?
