Well, thanks everyone for all the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed seeing them, after all that is why I carve them. Heck, there wern't much to them, I just wittled them out inbetween tuna bites....!!!
Now then, Rod and Marty, my neighbor Ed, he is the fish carver. He does mostly trout, but I'm going to go look through his wood and see if I can see any tuna in those blocks, trying to get out. Just might be one lurking in there if I can get him to let it out...!!! Might be a good trophy for an annual traveling award for the ifish "Salty Dogs"???? Hmmmm??
Marty, I started four years ago this July. I went to a show in Sacramento and saw the first decorative decoy, came home and started carving. I have been fortunate enough to study with some of the best waterfowl artists in the U.S. and Canada.
Mr. WildHawg, I have followed your posts, and realize that we live close together. If you hunt on a lease near Dallas, we probably have mutual friends, we possibly even have hunted together????
Well, these birds have all migrated south for the winter.....they will be in San Diego, and probably not many will make the return flight.
I will be starting birds for the Ward Worlds in Ocean City, MD. very soon. That show is in April, and I would be glad to give you a peak at what I get done for it. I will let you know. If you are in Dallas, stop buy the Chevron with the c-store, ask for me, and we can talk some fishing and hunting.
Thanks, once again,
Jerry
