Dean from the TUNA! tackle store in Newport just called me a few minutes ago. He was apologetic for not coming to the meeting at the Rogue and said he got in some trouble while fishing Saturday with his buddies. They drifted a local river and watched as the snow began to fall. Got a few fish including a 16# steelie for him and then at the takeout boat ramp the real fun began.

The tranny on the truck went south and they ended up hiking from the takeout to a buddies house. It was after 8 pm when they finally got it together.

Anyway he bought all the stuff he was going to show us. He asked me to tell all of you to stop by and check it out. 4" cedar plugs, Rapala CD-18's in various colors and some killer deals on Yo-zuri plugs that are on clearance.

He wants to know where and when on the next TA meeting so he can make it to that one.

John, thanks for the post, I was worried that something might have happened to him when he didn't show up. I was going to call down there today, but got so busy at work, I forgot....!!! :blush:

Well, I'm glad that everything turned out ok for them.

Alright, that does it, we have to have another meeting before fishing starts......Rod????

Oh, not to worry, I see at least 2 if not 3 or 4 (maybe 5) more meetings before TUNA! season.

They may not all be like this one, but stay tuned to the Salty Dogs... All TUNA! All the TIME! :grin:

I'm sure glad Dean was found without (too much) incident! [img]graemlins/applause.gif[/img] there sure were lots of worried folk at the meeting!
