Default Quickest route to Newport?

Coming from the Seattle area for the TA meeting. Lived in Eugene for several years but now can't remember best way to Newport if one is coming from the north . . . through Corvallis maybe? Thanks - Bob

"through" Corvallis is probably the best way, take the hwy 34 exit towards Corvallis, there is a stop light just before the bridge into town, turn left towards "ocean beaches", it is a bypass around Corvallis and much quicker. That turns into hwy 20 which takes you all the way to the coast.

Thanks guys, Hwy 34 it is, out of Albany right? Or is my memory totally fogged . . . I guess I could look at a map but that wouldn't be in keeping with how I normally do things (on land, that is).

Hey Popeye, thanks for the offer . . . should I just follow the trail of empty spinach cans I see along the highway?

I'm looking forward to seein' how you OR tuna pros get rigged . . . I'm going to run out of Westport next season, maybe wing with Hamachi if he'll have me . . . anybody know if he's coming tomorrow?

Do not take the Albany exit, that's Hwy 20. Go a few more miles to the Tangent (Hwy 34) exit.
