Default TA meeting (FYI)

FYI: When I was at England Marine this last Sat. Dean said he had been invited to the TA meeting on 1/24. He said he was going to bring some rigged stuff to show off and also some special deals on stuff to sell to people at the meeting. I just double checked and did not see him on the event agenda so I thought I would pass this on. I think he is becoming more and more aware of what our business means to them. As most of you already know he is a great guy and I have always found him to be very customer oriented.

Hookup,

Dean isn't on the schedule just because his presentation will be after dinner at the actual "TA" meeting. Normal routine for TA meetings up here involve a lot of people bringing tackle and showing it off over drinks so it's a pretty casual, social deal.

There is another person who is showing up also to tell us a first hand story of survival on the ocean after a plane crash.

Dean is not only welcome but I hope we can take up a collection at the meeting to pay for all our presenter's dinners. With the number of people coming a kitty of a buck or two each is all it would take.

We're in to pitch into the kitty. Perhaps we should just do a dollar at the door thing?

Buying our guests dinner is just the right thing to do. Count me in. However, not everyone is as financially fortunate as I have been and extra "charges" are a burden so I am opposed to a door cost. I want everyone to feel welcome and able to come and participate. I will cover an "extra" share. See you all on Saturday night.

Rod and everyone,

Because I was the one that made the first contact with Dean at Englund's, I printed Rod's meeting schedule off of the computer and faxed that to him. I told him that he was invited to dinner and that his dinner costs would be paid by us, "Salty Dogs." I hope that I didn't over step here, I would be more than glad to buy him dinner myself. He and his crew at the store have gone out of their way to help me out on more than one occasion.

His presentation would be after the dinner and he was invited to stay for the evening if he liked.

I also made some suggestion about what he might bring for his rigging demonstration.

Thanks everyone,

Jerry

Jerry, it's no worries. It's the least we can do for all the presenters. Right now we have at least 82 people signed up for the dinner meeting so it won't take much to get their meals paid.
