spill in cr slough

i just saw on the news that there has been a sewage spill in the columbia river slough. it was on koin6@6. any one know more?

Please watch your references ... this topic was discussed yesterday in a different thread. Let's please all keep our references and inuendos above board.

The Portland sewage system is over 100 years old and is half way through a $1 billion dollar improvement process. It is neither fair nor accurate to suggest any one official is responsible.

I'm not a Katz fan at all, but I'm not going to use this forum to express my indignation at her leadership.

This sewage problem wouldn't be near as bad if the city of Portland wasn't so greedy. When they made everyone switch over from septic to sewer they created the problem. They now charge for rain water run off as well as sewage. They didn't have near enough resources to handle either one. Ok, so now the city is spending vast amounts of money after the fact. There was nothing wrong with septic tanks and this whole change over cost the portland residents alot of money. It will continue to cost more and more as time goes on.

I am not a Katz fan and never have been.

When we came back yesterday from the cr we also saw the oil at scapoose bay. Yuck!
