Default No, I don\'t .. no, not at all!

Don't like being in a boat on salt water. Nope, don't like going over the horizon. Particularly hate catching fish that whoop me. Don't like watching the water go from seagreen to Caribean blue and then to deep blue. Don't like seeing the foam rips with birds working over them. Hate it when sunfish breach and porpoise cruise the waves ... hate it hate it hate it. Never want to see it again, ever! What am I going to do? I guess I have to stop denying it .. I don't hate these things. I miss them and I feel like an ice-bound explorer waiting for the thaw.

Pete,

I feel your pain. As I repacked trailer bearings and did other minor boat maintenance last weekend, I was thinking of how I could sneek a trip out across the bar and try to bonk a ling or two with a friend... Then I drove into town and saw the bar curling across its full length and decided I could definately wait a little longer!

Oh, trailer maintenance ... hmmm. Probably should get the cracks welded, repack the bearings, get the landing guides cinched down. I wonder if someone could hold the boat up off the bunks while I replace the broken bolt. Still got some time to burn ... but I will not polish the boat, OK?

I'd be in bad bad shape if it wasn't for the fact that I have so dang much winter "stuff" to do. I'm actually getting worried that July may be "there" before I am! :depressed:

I've got it bad too. It's 26 degrees up here and my tuna rod is frozen to my hands.

I don't understand this "waiting" stuff. I spent some time today cleaning my coyote gun and adjusting the trigger on my sage rat rifle. Then I'm going duck hunting Friday morning and will probably hit the Siletz early next week for steelhead. I'm just worried that all my "seasons" are going to keep me too busy to get ready for off-shore. Not likely. <ha>

Had a friend come over to look at my boat for the first time, so got to do a little show-and-tell. He's headed up to Chinook tomorrow for a chat with Ed. He was amazed when I told him all the plans for this weekend at the coast. I think we may have another Salty Dog before long.

Life is good!
