Default question about Coos Bay

Hey Coos Bay guys - M-Y, Tailchaser? I was just wondering if crabbing was any good there right now? Any recommendations on where to go? My daughter is home from college for one more week and wants to go. Cheers...Bob

I haven't heard a whole lot about the crabbing but I'll ask around today. One place to call is Englund Marine, thier number is 888.6723 FYI. They're located down in Charleston and usually have a good idea of what's going on. So give them a jingle first and if you have any questions about where they're talking about in the bay I can steer you from there. I'll check with my contacts though this afternoon.

Heya Bob,
We've had a pretty good wash-out the past few weeks so there hasn't been a lot of crabbing going on. Looks like we're into a bit of a dry-spell now though so we should be hearing more.

I was out right before the monsoons hit and did good. I do most of my crabbing on the far side of the bay from Charleston to Empire. There may be better places, but this one works fine for me and there's some good beach there if you want to start a fire.

Mello-Yello and Tailchaser:
I knew I could count on you guys - thanks very much. I'll probably wait until Friday to decide whether or not we will give it a try. I'll give Englunds a call and watch the weather - if things stay dry, maybe we'll do ok. In the meantime, if you hear anything, please let me know. Bob
