Radar dome install question???

thinking of a way to install a 15" dome from a Furuno 1623. I have a soft top jet (see pic). I know I need to be above the windhield frame, but can I be below the aluminum framework of the top?

Just hanging around thinking it through. Thanks.

Some thing like this. I bought the LRA 1800 from Lowrance to make it look complete. It is painted blu to match the boat

Make sure that it is mounted well above your head. You don't want to fry yourself.

Exactly...As well, they work better the higher off the water, etc..

Spring for the Radar Mount, you'll be a lot happier with it's performance and the extra space to tack on some rocket launchers
