Default Anyone shoot a Sig P6?

I know this isnt hunting, but since we dont have a 'guns' forum here.....

Ive seen these police trade in Sig 9mm, P6 models I guess they are. Just wondering if anyone has one and if they like it....where they got it...etc. Im looking for something that size and price range for my wife.

thanks

In my opinion, Sig makes one of the finest pistols on the market. I have been shooting a P226, the high capacity version of the P6 (or P225), for about 20 years. It still functions like the day it came out of the box and looks almost that good - plus, it just fits my hand better than most of the other hi-cap pistols of that era. The P6 model has a smaller grip frame due to the single stack mag and the trade-ins can be found all over on the internet. I say "go for it" and you (or your wife) will not be disappointed.

P series pistols are fantastic, well engineered guns. If they fit your hand buy one!

Usually last forever, with the exception of a few spring replacements. Original finish wears easily, so expect to see that (just avoid one that is pitted/been neglected).

I do not know of a P6, but if it is indeed the 225, they are damn fine arms.

FWIW, given the political climate, if a high cap pistol appeals to you, it might be wise to buy that first, and get the single stack guns later.
