Cool Carrots Cull Coastal Chrome (pic x 2)
Took a couple of ladies from work fishing today. They were both out for the first time this year. The day started off with a bang, and we released this downhill clipper just after first light.
We spent the rest of the day looking for another fish. It was slow, I talked to a number of boats and most said they had 0. I heard of a couple of other fish caught, but for the 17 rigs in the parking lot and the shuttles still coming in at 1330, there wasn't a lot of action.
On the last run of the day, I told the ladies to reel up the side rods. When they were up I told them to reel in the center rod, as the plug was in about a foot of water. While reeling it up, the rod pounded down in her hand and we battled a nice little hen. 13 - 14 pounds maybe............?
We all had a fine time, and they got some memories that should last them the year, as that is probably the only fish they will catch this year. (Sorry Jodi, couldn't resist that one! :tongue: )
Fish were caught on eggs with Carrot Milk and plug ala Magician.

Way to go Zaq, I got the "scorecard" you left on my truck window!  You got to the water before us today, that's a switch from two weeks ago! :grin: We weren't as skilled as you today, we drew a skunk. It was SLOW, so two fish was a good day.

Nice talkin with you on the river today Zaq. Nice job on the fish. You forgot to mention how big that second fish was when you floated by near the end there, wow what a beauty. We ended up with just the one good pound down below where you got the second that didnt stick coming up empty for the day.

i had the same photo, plus another one, emailed to me today from a friend of mine. she (the lady in the photo, and yes, i do know her name) told me i could get some indicators from you (for a "small" fee, of course) for fly fishing. i took her up to the deschutes in december for steelhead. let me know if you are willing to part with some of the indicators. you can email me if you choose.
