winter lakes
does anyone fish the mt hood lakes like trillium in the winter? is it open? if the roads are snowed in can you hike in to fish it?

the roads are closed you would have to snowshoe or ski in

you can easily snoeshow into trillium but its usually frozen over.

thanks, i would hate to drive all the way there and hike in to find it frozen. i didn't know it froze over.

Trout bit well thru the ice. big ones are pretty common as well

you would probably find some nice holdovers but for right now I wouldn't trust the condition of the ice on there since its at 3500'.
