Default Cullaby Lake Report

I took a break from Steelhead fishing and took the boat out to Cullaby. I've just been dying to pitch some baits to something other than a steelhead. Great day of fishing, but the fish just didn't want to eat. Water temp of 39 to 41 degrees sure didn't help. Air temps were in the mid 50's, and just a beautiful clear day, with no wind. Sure felt nice to just get out on the water and at least try to get a bass or two.

I couldn't believe the weed growth that still is choking the shoreline of Cullaby. I figured with the cold weather and water, at least most of it would have died off. Oh well, off to Silver Lake next week if the weather holds. I know it's early yet, but as long as you're not getting rained or snowed on, why not! Even without the fish, it still was one of the nicest weather days I've had on Cullaby. Hard to believe it's January!
