Default Scheels Sports

Any body ever shop at www.scheelssports.com or at one of their stores? I've never been to one. Just wondering what they are like...

They are like a small Cabelas store. I went to one in Sioux City Iowa.

Have grown up with one in my home town of Sioux Falls, SD before we moved out here. Probably my favorite sporting goods store. Way more selection than Joes.

It's way bigger than a Joes. It's between Sportsman's and a Cabelas I think. They are awesome. I went to the one in Great Falls, MT.

I used to go to the store in Appleton, WI. Puts Joes to shame. Like someone said above, it is a smaller Cabela's.

I've been to the Scheel's stores in both Eau Claire and Appleton, Wisconsin. They usually had better prices than Gander Mountain or Cabelas, and their selection & stock on hand was very good. They had a nice gun counter, and always had some high-end stuff to fondle.

It was a sporting goods store that my wife was just as happy to go to as I was. She would check out other parts of store and they usually had pretty good sales.

Yep, one here in Reno. Scheels has everything sports related from foosball to golf to kayaking to frisbee golf to hunting. It's like a gigantic Joe's. I think it might be bigger than the Cabelas here too. The gun selection is great and most of the longguns are in the open for you to fondle and examine. The reloading stuff is lacking. They never seem to have any good brass, primers, or powder in stock and they only carry basic stuff.
