I'm here. Busy as hell at work and CD johnson has been teaching me to kill quackers. It really helps to kill the no fishing time...

Add Taylor's View Point to that list. I'm guessing George is dragging that 5th wheel in a warmer climate.

Did a search on Nancy and the last post I seen by her was 12/19/03.
Refueling underways..risks?

Things are a mighty bit slow down there in God's country #2 this time of year but jeesh, MIA for almost a month! :depressed:

What about Lars that cheery skipper for the almighty charter boat, the Samson?
He was relatively new a few months ago when I left Dopey Bay.

Rod,

I've been lurking around, but traveling a lot. Thanks for the concern.

On my traveling schedule right now -- L.A. last week, Hawaii, Vegas, Denver, etc...did get out crabbing on New Year's Eve Day --- that felt great.

It's killing me that I can't go to the T.A. meeting, hopefully next time.

Looking forward to getting back out on the water.

cheers

No I'm not dragging the 5th Wheel. The house hasn't sold yet and I am snowed in big time. I shoveled the walk out to the paperbox yesterday just in case the paper ever gets delivered. There hasn't been a vehicle up the hill to my house since Tuesday. I have been taking the ATV out to get a paper and the mail at the Post Office. I wanted to participate in the Sturgeon Challenge tomorrow but there is no way it is going to happen in my boat. I guess I'll just sit here and dream about Halibut and Tuna fishing. I hope the snow is gone by the time Springers arrive.

Ok Ok Ok, ya ya ya. I'm still alive. YAWN!! I tend to go into a sort of hibernation over the winter months. Done it for years, I'll come back out around spring.

As for the Sea Jypzee, had a close call a few weeks ago. Got a call from Gary, the Harbormaster at Depoe Bay. Apparently the boat had taken on water, and the bilge pumps wern't pumping it out. I grabbed a fresh battery and went down there. Turned out that a switch had shorted out (probably from the moisture) and drained the main battery. Put in a fresh battery and removed the faulty switch (new one on order) and all is well with the Sea Jypzee once again.

Not been out on the ocean in quite a while. Finances have been tough as far as gas goes, and with having to carry down any gas used, it makes the motivation to go quite a bit lower.

But I do try to peek in here from time to time, and promise ya'll that I'll be back.
