Hey marv, I just reposted some threads of the past that have a bunch of different SST sites. Take a look at the threads "Weather Related Sites" and "Favorite Salty Dog sites".

Keywest,

Did you download the new software last summer for Coastwatch so you can get accurate coordinates off the maps? It's really cool but I haven't had a lot of time to play with it. You can download it off the same site.

Sure did - CDAT.EXE

I used it quite a bit - it's a great program. I like the ability to change the colors with the histogram function.

I do a bit of computer programming so I downloaded some tools to work with the data files but haven't had an opportunity to play with them much. A couple of useful add-on's to the CDAT program would be the ability to upload my waypoints and data tracks (Garmin) after a trip. I also want the ability to show the temperature gradient between pixels or average of X number of pixels. This would show large gradients in different colors than small gradients. Sure, you can kind of eye-ball that now, and with the historgram tool do an even better job - but I like playing with this sort of stuff!
