Default Would this work on yellows & other floaters?

Was browsing Charkbait and found this article. Anyone know if this would work on our protected fish?

It would definitely work if the fish has not embolized to the point of tearing tissue. Unfortunately, from depths of about 150' or more, the eyes crystalize and the internal organs are crushed and the digestive tract is torn by the increasing size of the swim bladder.

Recompression won't help these fish.

This device does work and has been used by some on the Oregon coast.A fisheries scientist told me that it is suspected some may suffer strokes over time. There isn't much known about long term survival with any return to depth method.
I have heard the same thing that kurt is saying about the trama that is encountered when the depth is more extreme, in that severe and permanent damage is done which is unrecoverable.
