More winter tuna thoughts (for Skein)
This is for Skein, who joked that we should not be obsessing so much about tuna while there is snow to shovel.
BTW, I borrowed this from Dan's (Fat Bait / Ghetto Booty) website. Hope you don't mind, Dan. It's a true work of art.

Re: More winter tuna thoughts (for Skein)
Awesome bro. Anything on my gallery is free for anyone.
Shelly is cool. She caught the first yellowtail of 2004. She will be joining us on my next charter. One of my charters was this last Sat. A great white attacked a seal right by the boat. It was the freakiest thing I ever saw. Some of the pics are on my gallery and more are getting uploaded this week. It was a hour long kill.
Don't fall over lol.
Dan

Re: More winter tuna thoughts (for Skein)
Im sitting here in Winterland. We have had snow and snow and more snow . We have had winds up to 60 mph and we have drifts that are unreal. 24 inches in my front yard and not a drift.
To see pictures like that at this time of year ,just warms the heart. Pics like that,, at this time of year,, are vital to my survival. Please post more !!! I have January, Febuary, and March to fantasize about the summer. Tuna is my top fantasy for those months. More tuna Pics,, PLEASE. id. painter

Re: More winter tuna thoughts (for Skein)
Good morning Dan & Happy New Year!
I read your stories about the great white & just saw the one photo on Coastside...can't wait to see more. A shark chowing on a sea lion....that is one great image if you ask me. Oh...no I don't have aaaannyything against sea lions...I just feel so sad for those much-maligned great whites that it's nice to see one have a hearty meal once in a while.
Thanks again for the images on your website Dan.
See Ya...... Mark

I'm getting all warm and fuzzy just thinking about this! There's nothing like the animal planet coming right up next to your gunwale. Huh?
Man. This is awesome!

Re: More winter tuna thoughts (for Skein)
Lets see....it 19 degrees out, snowing and you're showing us pictures of pretty women in a blood bath tuna scene. Not that I want to wish my life away but I'm ready for July right about now.
Keta, we'd still love ya bro even if you shaved. Plus I carry grocery sacks and we can cut eye holes in it for ya. The Unknown Tuna Fisher. Look at it this way, the blood on the face will be easier to remove.

Re: More winter tuna thoughts (for Skein)
Hey Troy,
Talked to the boatyard today, they might be lighting off the engines in a couple days.
My question is ,are you going to be around this Saturday? May I borrow you or Dean for a half hour or so to help me back in a slip.
Tom

Troy!!! It's good to finally see you on here - WELCOME!
Isn't that some picture! My boat has been that bloody - but we usually hose it down.

Re: More winter tuna thoughts (for Skein)
Dean, I.D., OK here's another vision of "tuna summer".
(think fashion show here): "This perky model has been showing off his tuna swagger for several years now. He always has his hands full."
"Hey Marty, it looks like you're sweating blood there! And by the way, what made you think of wearing white on a tuna trip?"

Re: More winter tuna thoughts (for Skein)
Hi to all of you guys up in the cold...
I just want to say that was the best albacore day on the water this last season-
There was no time to rinse the deck- The Skipper did not want us to miss the action, he wanted us to limit out
We had blood dripping out of the rod holders, on the roof, off my reel, it was all over - it was a beautiful thing
Good luck to you all this season

Now that was funny Popeye. Keta we would only use paper for ya bro. We could never afford to loose a deckhand like yourself. Besides, you're kinda cute when you get all bloody.
