Oh sure! Tell me to go look at a picture with another cougar in it!

Thanks for that!

Why not just say "This could be you John.... if you had a gamecart like this!"

I end up buying a darn Dave Smith cart and kill a bunch of stupid geese.

I want to grow up and get a lion!!!!!!!!!!

I've been using the CarryAll for about 8 years. It's a FANTASTIC piece of hunting equipment.

You will NEVER regret buying one, never, not ever...nope.

We packed a spike elk out in 1 piece. He wasn't a small feller either.

I have used the cheaper game carts you see in Cabelas. It is well worth the extra $ for a Carryall Buddy compared to those other brands. We ended up having to pack out my bull this year when the Cabelas cart broke.

The exact same thing happened to us with my bull this year.. Cabelas cart failed after 2 miles. We had to continue with a wheel barrow the rest of the way which outperformed the cabelas cart when it came to durability!!

I think a 1 wheel cart would work way better here in Oregon. The design of this cart is the best 1 wheel cart that I have ever seen.

For me I dont see the benefit in the 1 wheeled cart.

Its a pain to ballance and you pretty well need two guys to handle it. The only benefit it gives you is the ability to handle steep side hills.

For the mentioned $300 price you could get a game cart, pack board, and a toboggan and have all situations covered.

My 2 wheeled Cabelas cart cost $100 and only needs 1 person. Its hauled out maybe 6 elk, some as far as 4 miles, and the only issue I had was bearing failure after pulling it with a quad. I've since fixed that issue.

I think every foot hunter needs a packboard, game cart, and toboggan.

Well when I used a Cabelas cart on my elk this past summer; the wheel folded over when we started to side hill. It did great going up hill until then. The places that I hunt there is no vehicles allowed. Even a two wheel cart in my area will require 2 people. If the load is light enough in a two wheel cart; then it should be light enough for one person using the Carryall Buddy Cart. It is easy to load game into the Carryall Buddy and it has brakes. I don't understand why the Cabelas carts don't have brakes. I guess it just depends on where you hunt. Everyone will like a different type of cart.

I hear you on the brakes. I've often thought of adding brakes to my cart.

Heavy duty bike tire. I know a guy that went and got his filled with foam so they would never go flat, but I have not heard of anyone having problems with their tires.

I bought my Carryall Buddy cart when they were still made in Oregon City. I’ve packed out a cougar, several elk, and lots of deer with it. I had used other carts before getting the Carryall Buddy but none of them worked as good. Two wheel carts are OK for flat ground, but not good in thick brush (wheels get caught in brush, logs, rocks), or especially on steep ground. Some of the old one-wheeled carts were OK except that they were heavy and the rigid frame would not let them pass easily over logs or ravines.

The Carryall Buddy cart is very lightweight but built tough. One of its best features is the articulated frame that bends up or down, making crossings over logs or ravines no problem. When you need to rest, a stand folds down which keeps the cart standing up without you having to hold it. It has a handbrake which is a must for going up and down hills. The tire has a Kevlar lining to protect the tube and in at least 15 years of use mine has never had a flat tire.

It’s nice to know that they are going back into production. During the years that they have not been available, I’ve worried that if mine were ever stolen, I wouldn’t have been satisfied with any other game cart.

HAWKEYEBILT ALL THE WAY!

I wouldn't trade my Hawkeyebilt cart for anything. We've hunted far and we've hunted deep and our cart has been up to the task every time. One person can maneuver it and it doesn't wobble out of balance and throw your arm out of socket. You should really give these carts consideration if you're going to make a purchase. Besides, Hawkeyebilt is a sponsor of this website.

Wow,
that in fact is the largest Hi-Jack of someones thread I've witnessed!
As a sponsor for this site Professionalism should be a "Consideration" to your success.

I have used a friends Carry-All-Buddy Cart to pack a cougar 4 miles, and a spike elk 1.5 miles with two people.
I'll have my own Carry-All by the week from next .
Carry-All-Buddy Cart, a very well built piece of equipment indeed.

carryall buddy and the sponsers hawkeye built, cover 2 completely different types of cart. one is designed for open terrain with little ground obsticals, the other is a off trail, over logs, steep sidehill, through the sage cart. to me one is a perfect westside gated road cart, the other more suited to eastside sage and open timber hunting. one is a trailer the other a 2 man rikshaw. my question is why is there not a hawkeye built rikshaw 2 man

I would have to agree with Baltz526. Both carts are really used in different situations. I would love to have both the Carryall Buddy and HawkeyeBilt carts, but money and space are a problem. I decided to go with the Carryall Buddy cart, since I know I would tend to use it more in my hunting areas. The guys of HawkeyeBilt carts are a great group and I have all the respect for them. I really like talking with the couple behind the Carryall Buddy game cart as well. The Dornik's are just as crazy about hunting as everyone here on ifish. These are the top two carts that I have seen out on the market and would recommend both. I hope everyone that has a Carryall Buddy and/or HawkeyeBilt cart gets to use them this season. Good luck to everyone.

The two-wheel carts are great for good trails, closed roads, etc, but for off-road in knarly terrain, and especially for going sidehill, crossing through creeks with steep banks, or going over rocks and logs, nothing beats the hinged design of the one-wheel Carryall Buddy. I am really glad to hear that they are back in production!

You can buy 2 pack frames, a two wheel cart and your buddy a cold one for his efforts for less. I think that pushing a one wheel cart by yourself could possibly be even more work than packing without a cart.

Still, I must have one!

I have not used mine for taking out elk quarters yet, but I have used it for deer. I have had no problem getting a full deer out all by myself. I don't see elk quarters being any different. You would not bet an elk out whole with the cart. I would say 2 trips for an elk and 3 if you are keeping the hide for a mount. I would love to hear about other peoples experiences taking elk out with the cart.

You can buy 2 pack frames, a two wheel cart and your buddy a cold one for his efforts for less. I think that pushing a one wheel cart by yourself could possibly be even more work than packing without a cart.

Still, I must have one!
Only if you buy your frames, carts, brews and buddies all at wal-mart !!
