Canceled Flights due to Highspeed Steel. 01-19-09

Had another epic day on the lake!
Hooked up with a Steve Wabnitz and his 5 year old son yesterday.
Steve got a double on wigeon at first light, and after that we had a great view of the mountains!

Steve Took off around 12, and I still hadn't shot a duck untill 1:50.
Ended up limiting by 3:30 and got 2 doubles on gadwalls!!

Beautiful shots in the morning. Used to be ya couldn't point your cam directly into the sun like that (even diffuse morning light). Digital lets ya get away with that?

. Maybe if we would have stayed out longer, then we could have actually shot something

You hung tuff on a non-ducky day! Clear blue sky, plenty of sunshine, doubtful if there was any wind on the Island, and you pulled a limit in the afternoon on the Westside - well done!

I think I've leaned my shotgun up against this tree @ Mud 5.

There was no wind in the morning, but around 1 we started getting a decent breeze.

Thanks, and it is tough getting a picture in the sun. You just have to focus on the right thing first. But if it was 10 minutes later it wouldn't have worked. The sun can't be up too much.

Those are the cheap (bi-mart) flambeau mallards that I painted as blue-bills.
