I got this in my Zihua fish report.....sounds like the earthquake did nothing but wake the fish up......

RE: Ixtapa Zihuatanejo Fishing report 12/26/03 - 1/1/04

A 5.6 magnitude earthquake was reported in the Ixtapa Zihutanejo area yesterday and we want to assure everyone that all is well in the destination. The tremors, although significant, caused no injuries or damage. With perfect sea and weather conditions, good consistent offshore SAILFISH action continued for the Holiday period in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo last week. Leading the pack with captain Candelerio on the Leydy fishing with client Mr. Theunis. In 6 days of fishing Mr Theunis landed 18 SAILFISH,1 DORADO, 1 YELLOWTAIL JACK and several BONITO. Not far behind was captain Cheva on the Dos Hermanos 2 with client Mr. Loreux who landed 14 SAILFISH, 30 BONITOS and 13 RAINBOW RUNNERS in 5 days of fishing. European angler Mr. Neil Carmichael fishing Christmas day aboard the LA Bamba landed 5 SAILFISH and a Dorado and then repeated the catch on his next day out. While fishing with Captain Temo on the Secuestro, Mr. Carmichael landed 5 SAILFISH and 2 DORADOS in 3 days of fishing. Mr. Michigan Angler Mr. William Brown also fishing aboard the La Bamba landed 3 SAILFISH in one day of fishing. The single best offshore day was turned in by Captain Miguel aboard the Tarpon while fishing with Maryland Angler Mike Yavinsky who landed 9 SAILFISH in a single day. Colorado anglers Doug & Katrina Diener fishing aboard the Vamonos 3 landed 6 SAILFISH and 1 DORADO in one day and then landed 3 SAILFISH and 1 Dorado while fishing aboard the Tarpon. Turning their attention to inshore the couple landed 1 nice Grouper, 2 RAINBOW RUNNERS an 2 YELLOWTAIL JACKS while fishing aboard the TARPON. Inshore the Roosters have become elusive once again. Mr Chelma fishing light tackle with Captain Arturo aboard the Janeth landed 18 big Rainbow Runners and 28 BONITOS in 3 days of fishing. Fly fishing anglers, Sidney Solderling and Charles fishing aboard the Marfel with Captain Francisco, landed 3 SAILFISH on a fly and then landed 15 RAINBOW RUNNERS and 6 BONITOS on their inshore day.
