Get a used Leupold at a gun show. Great glass at a bargain price.

I put a Bushnell 3200 Elite on my Mod 721 in .300 H&H. You could step up to the 4200. I think you will be happy.Leupold on the other hand has the biggest rep and is by far the most recommended on this board. So there must be a reason

I found a used Leupold 3.5-10x for my .300 H&H. I have $300 in it.

There are some really good deals on the VX-III's right now. With a little looking, you should be able to find one in your price range.

you could spend 400.00 on a leopold or get a 3-9 buris with the balistic plx for about half the price and have their forever warrenty, if you don't buy leopolds vxIII scope you will not gain anything over a burris scope. as far as quality or light transmition.
