Totes & more Totes
The new ifish insulated totes are here and stacked in the barn ready for pickup. I will call or e-mail everyone that sent me money and provide you with a map or directions to my house. There are a number of new tote owners from the Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard area and it might save multiple trips if one person could pick up 5 or 6 and distribute them from your location. Otherwise, I will be available here almost anytime.....just call 503 623-6665 to make sure I haven't escaped back to Mexico. The ifishers that have new totes are:
"treegolfer" from Canby
"Miss B Haven", Hillsboro
"8 knots", Tigard
"Corrirod" Beaverton
"N. Riverman", Salem
"NorRivDave", Hillsboro
"Tillamook Bait", Tillamook (two totes)
"Mark Mc", Corvallis
Ray L., in Salem (forgot your handle)
The gentleman that ended up picking these totes up at the Bonar factory ( as I was fishing in Mexico) is Scott Hattfield of Mid-Valley Marine Services in Jefferson. Scott has indicated that he will continue to provide totes to ifishers until March 1st. for the same price of $185.00. His phone number is 541 327-2116.
If anyone wants me to deliver their tote to the TA meeting in Newport, I will be going and would be happy to put them in the truck.

Re: Totes & more Totes
I'm planning on heading down south this weekend to pick up a trailer and could pick a few of these up.
Rod? Mel? 8Knots?
I can hold them in my garage in Tigard or at the shop in Beaverton.
Let me know!
Thanks a bunch Marty!

Re: Totes & more Totes
NorRivDave..... That would be great if you got them up to the Tigard/Beaverton area. I would happily contribute to your fuel fund. Let me know.
Marty, thanks again for your help in getting us a great deal on these. I can't wait to throw some ice and fish in it. I may put in on the back yard deck and practice.
I appreciate the generosity. Who says the Christmas spirit is dead?

Re: Totes & more Totes
Les, I was down in the Cabo area, between San Jose Del Cabo and Los Frailes. Water temps 80, air temps 80 and the fishing was excellent. We didn't get any tuna, as the water was a bit warm for them on the Cortez side, but they were nailing them pretty good on the Pacific. Also, on the Pacific, the striper marlin fishing was very good, with 1 to 4 marlin a boat. We fished out of La Playita with the panga boys and caught wahoo to 60 lbs. and dorado to 25 lbs. I haven't had wahoo fishing that good for a long, long time. We would slow troll live mullet or chiliwillis (spelling) real close to the boat and when a wahoo comes after it, he is moving about 50 miles per hour, usually trying to hit it on the way back down. They move so fast (some consider them the fastest fish in the ocean)that they don't hit their target the first time, so it is a great show 20 feet behind the boat with huge boils, missed attempts and 50 pound flying projectiles. The real treat is eating them. The shore fishing was also good with lots of cabrilla, toros, ladyfish, and pargo. We got rocked a lot by the bigger pargo and cabrilla, so we stopped fishing for them and fished for the smaller stuff. All in all a great trip except that 10 days is not long enough. Wish I could make the Zihua trip with the rest of the ifishers.
Only 200 days left and counting.
Marty

NorRivDave,
I'd gladly contribute to the gas fund also. Let me know when you're going and I'd gladly ride along.
Marty, what's your poison of preference?

Re: Totes & more Totes
Rod-
You wouldn't want to ride along. It includes a trip to the recylce place to empty the old man's trailer of leaves and brush and then back to fill it with wood from a pile that's not anywhere close to where the trailer will be parked. I'm hoping it will rain again so I can get really wet!
I also need to do a bit of stuff to the rental while I'm down there, so the day is packed with entertainment.
Marty's place isn't to far off the beaten path from where I'll be at, so don't worry about the fuel fund.
Mel
Treegolfer
Marty-
Will you be around Saturday afternoon? Say about noon/1:00?

Re: Totes & more Totes
Mel may be a lil tied up but plan on bringing up his tote and I'll make sure he gets it.
Give me a call to work out the details if you like. I sent Dave a PM with the contact info.

Ray-
I sent you a reply back, but I'm guessing you're home for the weekend.
I'll pick up Mel's tote on Friday and get a hold of you next week.
Happy Holidays boys!
