I think we would have a similar protest just like that here in the US, but only after being pushed to the same point they are in Britain. What would be really cool is if we could foresee what is coming and PREVENT it. A wise man learns from his mistakes, but a wiser man learns from OTHER people's mistakes. Amazing to me that governments STILL actually believe there is a chance that if you outlaw guns, the crime rate will go down. Is there any better example of WISHFUL THINKING anywhere?

Its already happening in the cities here!!! The same person that works for Soros that was the chair lady for Great Britain and Australia now is here in the US working for him to help ban guns this is one of his pet peeves.

Exactly the writers of the 2nd amendment knew what they were doing they feared tyranny as much as we do. In the past all take over's have first been done first by de-arming the population can't afford to have armed dissenters.

The sad thing is...we won't learn from the mistakes of Brittain. We only learn what we've done here, until it's already happened.

but because we will be in several world wars and are already in a financial meltdown.

The bomb has more sway than a bunch of people (good or bad) with small arms.
Lets hope that the politicos realize this and devote their attentions in appropriate ways

In one humorous (at least to me) story, my Neighbor is a Kiwi (new zealand) and he told me about growing up in Aucklund. Guns were outlawed to the extent that even the cops didn't 'need' them. They used billy clubs. Of course the TRIAD gangs had them, and shot all of the cops.......THats THINKING for YA!
