Re: Superbowl snacks
Wings baby, wings.................................
Buy some good quality wings, coat really well with Costco's mesquite seasoning and bake at 400 deg. for about 30-40 min. Remove from oven and coat with Jack Daniels BBQ sauce and put under the broiler for about 5-10 min.
YYYYYYYYYYYYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!! !

OK, that made me laugh, because I would have definitely said the same thing before I tried them! I must've ate a half-dozen or so when I first tried them trying to figure out what they were. Now, I watch others who I make them for trying to do the same thing. You would NOT guess it's a date inside. It's the salty bacon surrounding something chewy and kind of sweet. They are much, much better than you'd ever expect!

Re: Superbowl snacks
Smoked Salmon Dip
4 pieces of smoked salmon boned and skinned
large tub of sour cream
package of cream cheese (room temperature)
sweet onion fine chopped
lemon juice
mix fish, onion, cream cheese in a bowl and a cap or two of lemon juice with a hand held mixer. add sour cream to get the texture you want.
let set over night. This is some good treats.

Re: Superbowl snacks
The Ro-Tel diced chiles and tomatoes with velveeta cheeze dip is really good.
I know....velveeta. It's good though and John Madden would be proud.

1 full brick of velveeta
2 cans ro-tel tomatoes
1 can of cream of mushroom soup (just what is in the can no water)
put the above in a bowl and microwave to melt. add milk for desired thickness.
fry 1/2lb of sausage, chopped for small chunks and add to the above mixture.
try it, you'll like it.

My vote goes to Atomic Buffalo Turds... http://www.ifish.net/board/showthread.php?t=160944

Re: Superbowl snacks
Armadillo Eggs.
Variation on a theme, somewhat like ABT's.
For this variety, after stuffing the jalepeno half with cream cheese, cover it with a super-thin layer of sausage and then roll it in a pork coating mix, (like "Shake 'N Bake"). Bake at about 350-degrees for 20-30 minutes, making sure your sausage gets cooked through. Note here to keep the jalepeno half sitting up-right, like a boat, to keep the hot cream cheese from spilling out.
If you want extra heat, use hot sausage!
