Default spring chinook run

Looks like a pretty good run this year.
Hope this Seattle Times link works;

Tom- think your boat will be done in time for Springers? Sorry... couldn't resist. I guess you won't have to worry about a winter slip at this point though huh?

When do they decide if there will be an Spring Ocean season off the CR? :smile:

:grin: Springers do not exist, they're only a marketing scam to sell fishing gear :grin:

Mel,

I'm no expert on fish returns, I don't think they really have a clue how to figure it out.
Don't think any of us would do any better job though.

The 2001 Ocean Spring Chinook season was determined some months before the season started.
I doubt they'd throw another one at us, but I hope they do, I was kind of miffed last year when they did't give us one. I have been waiting for the 2004 return forecast's, have not been on the net looking though.
I just got off the phone with Stephen, he's got one tank in and starting on the other. Might be done by Feb.
