Default Daisy chain

When you make a daisy chain, how long of a line do you put on each arm?

I made a couple daisy chains with mini cedar plugs and made each arm 12 inches long, and spaced them about 15 inches apart. Does this seem about right?

I also made a few cedar plugs, here is about 1/2 of the batch, new version has flared out gills & recessed eyes & new paint combo.

When do the tuna get here? I am gonna need a bigger boat to just haul the tackle by next summer.

BOE- Those plugs are... ummm... look like.. umm.. well.. let's just say the girl Tuna's should get really hot over em!

Your just gunna HAVE to come up with a new name though! Cedar Plug just doesn't do it! I can give a few suggestions but not on the board.

PS- the commercial rigs usually run the heavy lures straight on the main leader. With a light hoocie. .the reverse "tag" leader gives more aciton. Not sure what's going to happen with a heavy lure. Seems like it wil ljust hang straight back anyway.
Try pulling them around in the bathtub. You probably need a bath anyway (you dirty guy!).

I was thinking the same thing Mel!

Roy- Go drag them in the river and see what they do. I'm guessing they're going to make some noise.

I am gonna need some field testing, I will get you a plug mel so you can test it out Of course we dont want to hear any results until the tuna get off our coast.

I hadnt thought about putting them on a main line with a stopper spacing them out, now I am gonna have to make a few of those

Anybody know how wide the passage is at Depot? I gotta figure out how wide to limit my outriggers to. Might need a boat with 3 each 300 hp motors just to pull all the handlines at 7mph

Easy there Mel. Don't want to get on the bad side of the mods.

Although I tend to agree with you. A different color paint and .........   A whole different kind of plug for sure. Probably more money to be made too.

Hey Bait o Eggs, short is good.

I go with about 4" or less. The longer lengths don't work and the lures flop around and tangle with the main line.

Aqua-Holic - Sounds like you need that Flaming Pink Rod Belt I got off e-bay. I was saving it for the virgin crop next year but heck.... Your outfit just wouldn't be complete without it.

Oh.. .do you know Lucky Lucy by any chance?

Anybody see Skein anywhere? Bait O' Eggs...I ordered some premade chains. When I receive them, I'll post the measurements... although they are coming from the East Coast. By the way....what size batteries do yours take?
Miss B..."Rod belt".......geeesss don't mention that guy......he's nuts! I really think if you could add feathers to match my boa......that would be great. Unfortunately....I haven't met Lucy...but he's alot closer to Rodger.
I can see it's gonna be a long winter.
