varmint hunting,,,license???s

i am hoping to go sage rat hunting this spring and am wondering if one needs a hunting license to hunt them critters,should also mention i will be on private land,so if you can please enlighten me,thanks

Technically, if you are declared an agent of the landowner you would not have to have a license, but the landowner may not be willing to do that due to liability concerns. Otherwise you need a license to hunt any wildlife.
