Re: What you don\'t want to see!
Where did you find that picture? That doesn't look very promising. Do ya think my 23' boat could handle it? Is it just me or is that ship so big that it makes the ocean look glass calm? I would think they would have started to feel the effects of the storm from the distance the ship was out. I don't have experience with storms like that (thank GOD) but shouldn't there be a few swells or something?

This is precisely why it is recommended that you carry toilet paper with you, even on day trips...

What a picture!! I pray that none of us are anywhere on the water when something like that is comming!
I agree with the calm before the storm.
Thanks for the pic, Bruce.
Peace, Tom

Re: What you don\'t want to see!
I saw this pic during the last hurricane. It is not a hurricane. If you look at the water, no wind waves. Nasty looking front though and a great pic.

Re: What you don\'t want to see!
Batton down the hatches grab hold of the emergency beacon ready the life raft were coming about and running like hell. Great scarry picture Bruce. I'm glad these don't arrive with El Nino, tunna fishing would have another weather factor to consider.

Re: What you don\'t want to see!
Birdnest....You're absolutely correct, it's not a hurricane.....Technically, it's a Cyclone, because this was shot in the western pacific. As far as wind waves within the cyclone, you must have pretty good eyes to see that far into the picture.

Re: What you don\'t want to see!
I don't know Reel Creel, it depends on how good the bite is at the time. Let's not forget if you were in the middle of a good sandwich, or reading a good magazine article, etc.
Bait O Eggs and I would even fish thru that hummer with a gaff zip tied to the water pump if need be!
